Our company celebrated our belated Xmas party last weekend and it was a thoroughly enjoyable evening. Nicola on reception assisted with our preorder and the food was exceptional. Calin, Tilly, Veronica and Sam looked after us for the evening and the service was flawless. Chris (the manager) ensured that we had everything that we required and kept checking up on us throughout the evening. We will be certainly returning to celebrate our next team party at the wynnstay hotel. Highly recommended. Five Stars
'Stay'. We stayed in the Wynnstay Hotel in Oswestry in February and despite 'British' weather, we had a lovely time! Big car park, no charge! Oswestry was pleasant to visit and we visited Shrewsbury on our return. The staff at the hotel were superb, all we met were friendly and obviously enjoyed their work! We ate (we had to remain in the bar because we had a dog with us) but the food was superb and reasonably priced. Breakfast was also lovely. We had a coffee in the coffee bar alongside the hotel before leaving that was also perfect despite being very popular, i assume with 'locals'. We really enjoyed our visit and will try and visit again in the future. Thank you.
Back from a 3 night stay and would definitely recommend this hotel. The room was clean and very comfortable. Had the best night's sleep I've had in a long time. The food was excellent and all the staff were welcoming and friendly. Special shout out to Nicola on reception who was very helpful, knowledgeable about the local area, and always had a smile when she saw you. Will return when in the area again.
We recently celebrated my sister in laws baby shower at The Wynstay, we booked the library room which is absolutely stunning, it’s private however you still feel very much part of hustle and bustle of the stunning bar area. Chris made our experience special, not only was he amazing in terms of ensuring we had drinks topped up and plenty of food but taking time to wish the parents to be well and offering some advice on parent hood. All enjoyed the afternoon and complimented the stunning venue. I would highly recommend visiting and we will be sure to return to sit in the restaurant area as looks stunning! Thank you so much for making this special occasion even more so special
The building has plenty of character and a welcoming atmosphere, and the staff are friendly and attentive. Mia in particular was very friendly and made us feel welcome. The bar and dining areas are comfortable and well maintained, making it a nice spot to meet friends or enjoy a relaxed meal. It is great to have a place like this in the town that feels both historic and well looked after.
Excellent service, special mention for Sam on the bar and Chris the hotel manager. Ale OK but tasted a day or too past it's best or cellar slightly warm. Cocktails looked good. Food delicious but portion sizes definitely getting noticeably smaller. Atmosphere felt like a cosy, happy living room – absolutely perfect. Continues to be our new favourite having moved here in October.
I stayed at The Wynnstay Hotel & Restaurant recently and just wanted to leave a proper review because it genuinely deserves one. From the minute we walked in, Chris the manager made a difference. You can tell when someone actually cares about the place they run he was attentive without hovering, sorted anything we needed straight away, and just made the whole stay feel easy. He’s a real asset to the hotel. Dinner was spot on. The food came out in good time no long waits and everything we ordered was top quality. Proper flavour, well presented, and clearly made with attention to detail. It felt like a treat rather than just another hotel meal. The rooms were impressive too!! Spacious, comfortable, and finished to a high standard. And the cleanliness? Genuinely 5/5. Everywhere felt fresh, tidy and well looked after. All round, it was a great experience and we’ll definitely be back.
We love Wilson's coffee shop at Wynnstay hotel. The staff are well trained and knowledgeable. They all wear regulation uniforms and they are always unfailingly polite and helpful. The coffee is of excellent quality and is delivered to your table, rather than having to wait in a queue for it to be made. The tables are cleared quickly and the ambience is welcoming and friendly.
